Filophoni contacted ElektroSatan in 2009, because he had been producing music for quite a while, but never released more than one track at a time on Myspace etc. He was up to the idea, and choose and reworked some great tracks of his.

ElektroSatan made a special release with selected works from 2005-2009, titled ‘Sved På Fanden’ which is ‘Sweat on the devil’ in danish. It features tracks such as Speed Me Down, Snail Race and Opera.

Savium, aka Claus Hansen, has released new tracks!

“Nothing Exists Save Empty Space and Me” contains 5  epic Savium songs including Thanatosis (forever listless), Qui Custos Es Mei and Vex. Once again great stuff from the productive dane.

In his own words: “You’ve heard most of the tracks before, but now they come in a neat package with an album title and a cover. Whooptidoo. I hope you enjoy it ”

We also have a lot of new music coming up here at Filophoni.
First of all ElektroSatan has decided to release a 7 killer-track CC-licensed EP, hopefully even before the end February. It’s been a long way in the making, and we promise it’s something to look forward too.

We also have a surf record coming on. Cpt. Ahab’s Surfwax has been working on a record for some years, and they finally seems to have something to release to the world. Sneak preview at myspace!

Finally the first Spetakl EP is coming. Spetakl contains most of the same people as Cpt. Ahab’s Surfwax, but this time in funky electronic surroundings. For some reason these guys only know slow multitasking! Listen to Spetakl’s mary jane-praise Ryst.

Welcome to all! Due to the increase of music released under Creative Commons licenses in Denmark, the netlabel Filophoni is born. The name comes from the word ‘philophony’, which simply means ‘to love sound’. Claus Hansen, aka Savium, came up with the name, and his new release, Lethargic Philophony, is featured here at the site!
The ‘Filophoni.net’ website offers danish musicians a place to release their music to the world on a independent and commercial-free platform. Until now we only have a few artists represented, but in time, this number will grow.

The website itself is build by a few musicians and programmers, and we aim at maintaining the service, and posting new releases as often as we can. If you want to contribute to the project, please see the contribution and contact pages.
